Happy Anniversary to Us.

Tomorrow is my four year anniversary with Darren. And although we don't get to celebrate it together tomorrow, we will celebrate it when I get back to Washington in February.  He is such an amazing man, and I am so glad we found each other.

January Happenings

January is officially on its way.  2013 is here! A brand new year! These are some of my pics I've taken through January thus far.  My time in Atlanta is winding down, and I'm finding it hard to say goodbye to all these places that still seem so new to me, but I look forward to what is ahead for me.

A beautiful archway in Kennesaw, GA.

The sunset in Buckhead.

The last blooming flower in our front yard.

Some new friends we found on our deck.

The boys having fun at the playground.

A beautiful winter day.

Atlanta History Museum

This last weekend I went to the Atlanta History Museum and I was pleasantly surprised.  The museum covered everything from the Civil War to the 1996 Olympics, to the good that Martin Luther King did.  One of my favorite parts was the tour of Swan House.  It is an old mansion that was donated to the museum and is now a part of their over 30 acres of property. The house was beautiful inside and out, although we were not permitted to take pictures of the inside I borrowed some from the Atlanta History Center website.  Those pictures are marked. Enjoy.

The outside, back entrance of the Swan House.

Beautiful statues in the Garden.

Me arriving for my tour.

The actual "Front" of the house.  This house is also said to be where parts of Catching Fire were filmed.

The lovely Garden.

The lovely green sitting room, via the Atlanta History Center.

Which way to go?

The lucky elephant.

A perfect path.

Memorabilia from the Civil War.

Remembering those who lost their lives.

The closing ceremony at the 1996 Olympic Games.

New Years Eve 2013

The last night of 2012! Where has this year gone? It seems to have gone by so fast.  It seems like just a few months ago I was wearing my super sparkly top in Vancouver B.C. But now we are ringing in 2013!! Crazy how a whole year can so by so quickly in the blink of an eye.  I am so looking forward to 2013.  I'm not sure what It will bring my way but I look forward to the adventures and experiences that await me!

Me & Darren ready to head out to dinner.

An amazing dinner at Mambo Italiano in Fairhaven.
The boys decided to have some tequila before going out.

Our friends Tony & Sarah that came out with us! Love them!
