Get Outside

Summer time in the Pacific Northwest is really the best time of the year to be here. It truly showcases how it is the most beautiful place in the world.  My boyfriend and I like to go camping on the east side of the mountains and even just the drive there takes your breath away every time.
Even when you know the mountain views wait at the top of the pass,
they still leave you stunned at their beauty.

Everything is in full bloom.

The valley unfolds right in front of your eyes.

Me and Vinny take in the view.

That mountain is nice, but he sure is handsome :)

The Pacific Northwest is truly beautiful.

 Vinny soaks it all in.

Spring Fling

Catching up on some of my pictures from when Darren and I made it to the Tulip Festival.
It was perfect weather and it was the perfect day to be out at the flower fields.

Tulips of all colors.

 With my little Maltipoo Vinny.

Father's Day

Father's Day is a day for me to reflect on my memories of my dad and grandpas.  Its sad that their time came before it should have. Today was a special day because it was my brother's first Father's Day.  Baby Roslyn got to celebrate with us and it was such a fun day.  We had a great barbecue outside until it started to thunder and lightning. We escaped the storm just in time.
I want to say Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there.
Our time here on earth is very precious and we can only hold our family close and cherish the time we have with them.

A New Point of View

For my birthday this year the only thing I asked for was a new camera.  My wish came true and I have the beauty in my hands. I am such a lucky girl.  Here are some of the first pictures I've taken with it. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I like taking them.

This is the first photo I took.

Sizing up my mom's omelet ingredients.

Vinny so happy running wild and free.

You will most likely find me in my boots.

Loving my Tory earrings.

Road Trip

My mom and I headed east of the mountains for a road trip.  Before even getting over the mountains we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls to take in its beauty.  I can't remember going there as a kid, even though my mom says I did, but it is surely a beautiful place.  After that we headed over the mountains to the sunny side of the state.  Our destination was Tri-cities even though we made some stops on the way.  When we got to Tri-cities, my goal was to check out a school I am thinking of attending there for winter quarter. I very much enjoyed the school and the perfect weather.  Our hotel had a pool so we got some time to relax and take walks on their many beautiful parks along the Columbia River.

The road seems to go on forever.

We found a beautiful rose garden and gazebo.

The sunset along the river.

Camping Fun

Camping in Eastern Washington is a perfect place to head in June. It always seems the the east side of the state is more sunny and warm even in early spring.

Stopping at Diablo Lake to take in the sights.

We always have to stop here so I can take pictures.

The campground was so peaceful and beautiful.
As the sun goes down, the campfires come up.

Darren putting up our home away from home.

Vinny enjoying the peace of the campground.

Darren happy to be doing his favorite pastime.

Feeling Like Summer

It is starting to feel a bit like summer here in Washington.  It was nice to miss the dreary winter this year by being in Atlanta.  I look forward to summer and being able to wear shorts everyday and swim in the lake.

Mike taking the jet ski out for this first ride of 2013.

The sun wants so badly to come out.

Darren will always be fishing no matter the weather.

The clouds approach but the sun is winning.

Vinny is so excited for Summer to be here!

Folklife Festival 2013

Every year I like to come down to Seattle for the Folklife Festival.  My mom always does a dance performance and I always like to be there to see that.  The weather also usually agrees when I'm there so I can't complain.  There are so many people that come out to enjoy the best of what Seattle has to offer.  I also got to take the monorail down to Westlake Mall and do some shopping down there. My mom's performance went great and it was a great day down in the city.

Happy people trying to defy the odds at touching the fountain without getting wet.

People-watchers up about the pavillion.

My mom and me excited to be at the Festival.

May Photos

May is wonderful. The weather begins to get better in Washington. Meaning more fun times outside and maybe more adventures to Eastern Washington.  Also my birthday is in May, so that is always fun.  Here are some pictures from my May adventures. Enjoy.

This is a self-portrait Darren and I drew of ourselves when we were in Leavenworth.
