Back to Boston

After an amazing trip to New York, we headed back to Boston.
We were exhausted after seeing most of New York, so it was a relief to get back to where we started.
We watched the Superbowl back in Boston, but I wasn't too interested in much besides the headliner, Queen B. Beyonce rocked the show she even shut the whole game down for 30 minutes!
These are some of the pics from our last day together.
We went walking down by the Charleston River, where Andrea likes to go running.
Although it was freezing, it was such a beautiful area, and I would love to go there again when it is warmer and the trees are blooming.
Sharing time again with her was amazing.  She is such a great friend to me and I love her with all my heart. Whenever I'm with her I am happy and have no worries.  She has truly been a best friend to me since the first night that we met.

Out & About on the Upper West Side

For one of our nights out in New York, we got dressed up for a night on the town.
Since our hotel was on the Upper West Side near Central Park,
we decided to stay local and find some great places to hang out.
And although our first twenty steps out of our hotel room were yelled at by a frightening homeless man, we just kept going and thought perhaps that was the norm in the big biggest city...
We had dinner at a great restaurant called 'Santa Fe.' Then we headed off to 'The Smith' for a couple of drinks before finding a great place to hang out called the 'Emerald Inn'.  These amazing bartenders who were from Ireland were so nice to us and wouldn't stop telling us that we needed to visit the "motherland".  Andrea and I have added it onto our list of places we need to visit together.
Overall, it was a great night out in New York.

They thought we were pretty funny. :)

Brooklyn Bridge & Central Park

When we were touring around the city we began walking almost everywhere.  Twenty blocks here, twenty blocks there.  Then we decided to try our best at the subways.  Between my experience in Munich and Andrea's in Boston, we were able to not get too lost beneath the city.
After we had seen the World Trade Center remains and future memorial site, we took a taxi to Brooklyn where we made our way back to Manhattan.
It was a very cold day to be walking all the way across the bridge but it was so worth it.  The city views and experience were worth it.

The beautiful Brooklyn Bridge.

Trying to hide from the wind.

We woke up one day to some snow in Central Park.

 Me dressed for the cold!

New York, New York

Andrea and I got to experience New York together!! This was not somewhere we got to go to together on our epic USA roadtrip.  It was so nice to visit the city with my best friend.  The last time I was in New York was with my eighth grade trip that also toured Washington DC, Gettysburg and other historical places on the east coast. Andrea and I stayed at a cute little boutique hotel on the Upper West Side near Central Park. We enjoyed our time in NY so much!!

Some taxis and the sunset over Central Park.
