Welcome Home for the Holidays

The day I got back for the Holidays I got I go out to a fabulous lunch with my mom & Darren's mom Tina. It was a great welcome back to Washington! A beautiful lunch at Salty's in Seattle, and some views from Alki Beach.

The amazing view of Seattle from Salty's.

Me, my mom, & Tina.

The gorgeous view from Alki Beach.

A peaceful walk at Alki.

Botanical Garden

Although the Botanical Garden wasn't as thriving in December as in September, it was still a beautiful place to visit. The boys had lots of fun at the Garden and on the playground, and watching the fountains. There was a great train set up for the holiday season!

Boys being cute.

Beautiful glass fountain at the Botanical Garden.

The beautiful poinsettia tree.

Some winter flowers.

It was 72* out - warm enough to take off my sweater for a couple of minutes. :)

The amazing train set up that the boys loved so much!

An awesome view in the rainforest room at the Botanical Garden.

Overall, I would say the Botanical Garden is an amazing place to visit in Atlanta and I highly reccomend it for anyone visiting.  But especially in the Spring and Summer when all of the flowers are out in full bloom.

December Happenings

These are some of my phone pics from December in Atlanta.  Fall here was amazing. The weather was temperament and the fall colors lasted forever.  It was definitely nice to have lots of above 70* weather throughout November. It definitely feels like winter more now since all the leaves are on the ground and a light jacket is a must. December is just as beautiful too.  I don't think that there will be any chance of snow while I'm here though, I just don't think it will get cold enough. But it was an amazing December overall.

A beautiful lady.

A train ride to somewhere amazing.

Beautiful winter flowers at the Fernbank Museum.

Leaves still on the ground and as beautiful as ever!

Cars, trains, and automobiles.

Some amazing holiday art by Lucian.

 Only a few leaves remain.

Stone Mountian - Snow Mountain

Snow in Georgia!! Wow!  But alas, it wasn't real snow, but it was pretty close to the real thing. The snow machine went off about every five minutes.  Lucian and I got to go on an adventure to Stone Mountain. The snow to play in, but the cute little village at Stone Mountain was just as fun listening to holiday music and the beautiful lights.. And it was a bearable day out in the snow, because it was 65* --- so much fun!!

Lucian and me in front of the castle!

 Stone Mountain Park

Lucian and Jacob being adorable.

Some great decorations at the park.

This bubble man was amazing!!! So fun to watch him!

A great view of the mountain and the boys digging in the snow.

You can see the gondola that takes people to the top of the mountain & the snow machine.
